$25K Memorial Award Available October 21, 2008 - The award offers up to $25,000 in pro bono services to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations from The AFP represents over 30,000 members in 197 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. www.afpnet.org In 2008, Doctor’s Medical Center Foundation applied and received $15,000.00 in diagnostic and board development services. DMC Foundation serves the community with educational programs and services that provide the opportunity to improve the overall health and well being of individuals of all ages. According to DMC Foundation’s Executive Director, Carolyn Crown, “The Foundation will soon have its first Marketing Plan to help re-position the Foundation and build brand awareness.” Carolyn also added, “The meetings facilitated by IMC have inspired conversations that have lead to better communication among our board of directors and between our key staff. We are confident that we will successfully use what we have learned to better serve our community.” Tony Slaton, Executive Director, Boys and Girls Club of Merced County praised IMC Consulting & Training for their efficient organizational diagnostic and effective board development. “Mr. Loschke’s team was instrumental in identifying core initiatives that our team of volunteers and board members could effectively implement and manage with our limited resources. We look forward to applying for the 2009 award.” Slaton’s organization received a $10,000 grant. Edwin Toolis passed away in December of 2005. He was a former associate and finance specialist with IMC for five years. He was also two-time past President of SCORE, the Service Corp of Retired Executives. During his career he managed a $1.2 billion dollar budget for 14 companies in two countries. “Ed was frequently recognized for his professionalism and generosity”, said IMC President Michael Loschke. “We want to carry on the tradition at IMC.” IMC Consulting & Training is the Farm Bureau Launches Business Training Series May 15 2008, IMC President Michael Loschke said, “We are pleased to present our customized program to the 3,500 SCFB members. We believe business education may help prevent the tragic farm incidents that have recently been reported.” Loschke was referring to the Minturn Nut Company’s $1.3M loss and the eleven dairymen who were defrauded by Central Valley Dairymen for $22.2M. “These programs will be fun, dynamic, and enlightening. Most importantly, we are excited to talk to business people that happen to be in farming.” The workshops will help increase awareness of successful business and management principles; improve odds for business success; create interest for farm succession by second generation; and provide relevant information in an easy-to-understand and apply format. Each session will also provide the opportunity for attendees to network with business services like suppliers, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and other Bureau members. Originally from South Africa, McGeer is a proud new U.S. citizen and ready to help people. “Sue enhances the lives of her clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. IMC consultants provide strategic planning, marketing, warehouse operations, finance, and organizational expertise. According to 2007 Jaycee’s President, Micaella Sandoval, “IMC improved our organization’s communication and enhanced our individual abilities to work as a team. With Mr. Loschke’s guidance or executive board determined direction and set specific goals. By the end of 2006, we had raised more money, gained new members and were able to take 372 children on our annual holiday shopping tour – a 10% increase over 2005! We really appreciate the time and guidance from IMC. Mr. Toolis passed away in December of 2005.
